Language study abroad programs of Uiduk University aiming for international college hasstarted since 2004 aiming to nurture internationalized andadvanced talents in 21st century with open mind coping with rapidly changing international circumstances and has beenawarding credits for students who attended study abroad programs.
The program is divided into summer program and winter program.

Details Transportation expenses, traveler's insurance, meals, dormitory, tuition fee, etc. (living costs and expenses for activities are not included)
Location Foreign universities with related language courses(designated byadministrative department)
Credit recognition According to a predetermined procedure,2 credits are recognized after completing acourse. But,limited to 2 times for each area oflanguage
Qualification Undergraduate students who've studied more than a semester and acquired credits at our school (students during leave of absence orin last semester, or international students cannot apply)

Qualifications

  • a)Credits : Students who have credits of more than 3.0 through the whole semesters(meanwhile, students of less than 2.5 can apply directly to International Exchange Team after receiving a professor's letter of his/her department. a form of recommendation letter is downloadable from thereference board)
  • b)Applicants for vacation program:Students with average credits of more than 1 semester
  • c)Applicants during semester:Students with average credits of more than 1 semesterand have more than a semester left after thestudy abroad
  • d)Students on a leave of absence can apply only to study abroad during semester (But, he/she has to return to school andregister after selection)
  • e)Transfer students can apply if he/she has attended more than one a semester at our university and acquire creditsaccordingly.
  • f)Students who have several programs of our university or who have contributed to the university are preferred. (Language programs of Office of International Affairs, job camp, programs of Facility of General Education, etc.)

Application(Online and offline)

  • a)Download anapplication form from website and submit it to Office of International Affairs (Keum-Kang Kwan 301)
  • b)Online application will be opened later

Selection(40% fromgrades + 30% frominterview + additional points)

  • a)Grades : an average score from the whole semesterwill be applied.
  • b)Interview : scaled scoreconsidering regarding language skills, personality, drive, sincerity, etc.will be applied.
    * Interview schedule will be announced later(if a student doesn't attend the interview, he/she becomes disqualified automatically)
  • c)Additional points (mentioned below)
  • When submitting an official language score card(within 2 years)
  • Students who attended or completed foreign language programs of our university
  • Students whocompleted free language course of overseas employment program more than 4 weeks with acertificate
  • * If a student meets more than 2 conditions, onlyone with ahigher point will be applied.
  • * Documented evidence such as official language report card(copy) or program certificate(copy) should be directly submitted to Office of International Affairs.

Practice TOEIC test

For students who wantto improve language skills and check out their ability continuously, we provide practice TOEIC test more than 4 times a year inside the campus. Schedules for test are posted at the beginning of every semester.

Language and culture exchange programs

  • We provide thestudents from overseas universities who visit our university with opportunities to learn Korean language and culture through diverse exchange programs like tutoring with our students, field day for international students and program to experience Korean culture.
  • International students can learn general information about Korean society, culture, politics, economics, etc. throughdiscussion aboutvarious topics and group assignment with our students.
